Source: metamorafilms.org 7/8/25

Metamora Films is having an online film festival in Pueblo, CO March 2026 that will feature some film projects about the registry.

We are looking for a special “guest” or speaker during one of the days of the festival to talk for about 30 minutes about the registry, then intro to a film that’s related.

If you are interested, please contact me.

Thank you.

Matt

Just a word of advice. As one of the “guests” on the pfr episode of the Oprah show in the 2000s. Appearing cost me my job, my home, and very nearly (again) my freedom. If you feel it is worth doing, don’t be discouraged. However understand, there will be consequences, and they will be extreme.

What would be the rules for a PFR to be the speaker I wonder?

I wonder if they would consider more than one “special guest”. We need someone articulate and knowledgeable, but we also need human stories sharing the impact on families (minus the justified outrage we all feel that this registry even exists).

Matt has been absent from the scene for a few years. It’s good to see him in public again with another project. Everyone here needs to support this project.

The audience should be shamed and belittled by the speaker for “accessing” the registry. Explain to them “stranger danger” is a conspiracy theory and largely a hoax. That they’ve been conditioned by the lawmakers and the media to live in fear or what “might” happen to their kids that is statistically non-relevant. People that catastrophize need therapy, not a registry that exacerbates their condition.

You have to be assertive and aggressive in a “Trumpian” fashion with these people or else it will just reinforce the stereotypes and ignorance associated with this label.
If someone comes across as timid and meek, the crowd will sense, fear, guilt, shame, weakness and creepiness which is just validation in their eyes for their reasoning.

For anyone out their reading this with this label, you cannot allow society to control you with THEIR emotionalism
